As the Non-Traditional Business Development Lead, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to expand the Pizza Hut US licensee network within non-traditional business channels including Airports, Colleges and Universities, Stadiums, Travel Centers, and more. This role's activities will include identifying and actively prospecting new licensee candidates with a clear focus on national accounts, executing a robust sales process, maintaining a healthy buyer pipeline, creating impactful licensing communication touch points, and leveraging buyer interactions to influence and execute large development agreements. This position owns the execution of the end-to-end sales process including lead generation through deal closure. In addition, the Non-Traditional Business Development Lead will provide strategic project leadership for all license recruiting activities. The role will ultimately be responsible for meeting the yearly unit development goals.

Job Description
  • Manages lead generation and qualification activities; oversees the communication and tracking of all leads and applicant documentation.
  • Creates and maintains a robust pipeline of diverse, pre-approved candidates throughout the year. Assesses a candidate's ability to meet the Pizza Hut US license recruiting standards and understands each candidate's buying preferences and purchase cycles.
  • Exhibits a clear knowledge of the federally regulated License Disclosure Document and disclosure process.
  • Builds long-term account value thorough executive-level relationships with key decision makers.
  • Creates and manages the Pizza Hut US licensee recruiting database and reports. This includes, but is not limited to, candidate profile information, sales pipeline stages and status, applicant documentation tracking, candidate approval status, number of candidates in the Pizza Hut US sales pipeline, and YTD deals closed.
  • Collaborates with Brand Marketing, PR, HR, and partner agencies, to create license sales and marketing collateral used in various marketing channels. Builds & maintains a Pizza Hut US license recruiting website, including mobile functionality. Creates and manages digital and mobile license recruiting campaigns driving leads to the license recruiting website.
  • Represents Pizza Hut US license recruitment during select tradeshows/industry events and provides detailed information about current and future license opportunities; organizes license recruiting speaking engagements, meetings, and one on one sessions, during industry events, to drive new recruiting leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Moderate travel to network, gather industry information, and drive pipeline priorities.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field preferred; or, in lieu of degree, relevant field/work experience required

FACTORS OF SUCCESS NECESSARY:

Required:
  • Direct B2B sales and strategic account management with key external partnerships - 6+ years
  • Direct experience negotiating complex agreements and contracts with executives - 3+ years
  • Extraordinary ability to build relationships cross functionally with both internal and external teams
  • Ability to influence leaders in significant investment decisions
  • Ability to adapt strategies and plans and thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required

Preferred:
  • Experience working with senior level executives both internal and external
  • Franchise and/or licensing experience, preferably within the QSR or Food & Beverage categories
  • Proficiency in legal documentation

Salary Range: $115,600 to $149,600 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
