Manager, Consumer Insights

The Manager, Consumer Insights will be responsible for developing and leading consumer learning plans and delivering actionable recommendations to influence and enable the food innovation strategy and brand strategy. This individual will partner with the food innovation team and the marketing team to execute strategic, fast paced innovation processes that enable the long-term menu and strategy. This individual will influence the brand from ideation through development, commercialization, validation, and implementation. The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative leader who blends deep consumer insights expertise with strong business acumen.

Job Description:
  • Leads development of consumer learning plans beginning at the innovation phase; able to distill business questions down to actionable research plan.
  • Manage vendor relationships & successfully guides vendor partnerships to deliver consumer insights & growth recommendations.
  • Leverage syndicated data sources, DIY research techniques, qualitative & quantitative methodologies, and full-services vendors to right-size learning plans according to business risks.
  • Co-leads ideation sessions with internal stakeholders & consumers to identify white space opportunities & optimize innovations.
  • Crafts clear and inspiring presentations highlighting insight work and bringing selling stories to life, present to multi-functional partners, franchise organization & leadership teams.
  • Individual contributor role.
  • Drive the brands' external focus through a deep understanding and analysis of the competitive environment, key consumers and market and category trends to develop successful growth strategies.
  • Provide an informed and objective perspective as a subject matter expert to business critical requests for consumer insights, effectively becoming the objective voice of the consumer
  • Monitor market, consumer, competitive trends to identify opportunities and risks for the business


  • 6+ years consumer insights experience in CPG or QSR
  • Proven track record of developing and improving processes to speed up the pace & success of innovation.
  • Process oriented individual that's able to guide team, with ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for building effective working relationships with individuals at all levels and backgrounds of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of research principles and methodologies, knowledge of questionnaire design with understanding of implications of sampling decisions, strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to integrate syndicated data sources and primary research into a cohesive, fact-based story.
  • Passion for consumer insights & empathy for the consumer

  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence across multi-functional teams, within a matrixed and franchised organization.

  • Domestic travel, 2-4/year
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 days in-office required per week
