We're seeking a resourceful and motivated Development & Construction Associate Manager for our equity Owned Portfolio who will directly manage the reimaging, remodeling and construction of new and replacement corporate Pizza Hut restaurants and facilities management operations for all existing and new restaurants.

Job Function
  • Supervise the construction of Pizza Hut restaurants and/or reimages/remodels of existing Pizza Hut restaurants.
  • Directly manage the work of outside consultants, third party vendors and equipment/signage suppliers as it relates to Pizza Hut construction projects.
  • Select qualified General Contractors (GC's) for competitive bidding, review and qualify bids, award the work and directly supervise the performance of the GC throughout each project.
  • Conduct regular, detailed project management meetings with consultants, suppliers, operators and other relevant project contacts to facilitate projects completions on-time and within approved budget parameters.
  • Closely manage the documentation of project-related material (ie. bid documents, project trackers, invoices/draw requests, notices of construction progress, closeout documents, warranty inspections, etc.)
  • Design a detailed facilities maintenance plan in partnership with operations and finance team to ensure all our equipment and facilities have minimal disruptions and maximize uptime (measured by Trading hours rating on 5-star scorecard)
  • Maintain an updated asset register, and proactively manage capital reinvestment in the portfolio
  • Will require travel to existing restaurants for inspecting maintenance standards and resolving issues. During live projects will require extensive (50%+) travel to perform construction site visits, pre-bid/pre-construction meetings as needed to facilitate high-quality project opening.

People Leadership
  • No direct reports in current portfolio, may have direct reports with the portfolio expansion
  • Will be required to build and maintain vendor relationships

Working Relationships
  • Peer Relationships within Equity Above Restaurant Support Team
  • Restaurant General Managers to provide support on an ongoing basis
  • Head of Equity or Future Coach to be a thought partner in improving processes, providing performance reports and data
  • Collaborate with Global and Pizza Hut Us cross functional teams as needed

Knowledge & Skills Required

Education
  • Relevant professional qualification in Project Management, Facilities Management or Construction Management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with corporate team members, field-level operators and contractors
  • Analytical abilities to operate with MS office tools
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • A drive for excellence and results with a keen attention to detail

Experience
  • 5 years or more in the Construction Management field, preferably in the multi-unit retail/restaurant industry
