Supporting our Communities
A career at Pizza Hut offers meaningful opportunities to make a positive and lasting impact in the communities we serve.
- For more than 40 years, Pizza Hut’s BOOK IT! Program has helped inspire a love of reading in young people. Through the program, children are encouraged to reach reading goals set by their parents and teachers, and we celebrate their achievements through certificates for a free Personal Pan Pizza! Through this program we have reached generations of students and created joyful experiences for families and schools. We also partner with non-profit organizations, offering volunteering opportunities to our employees, to help broaden the reach and impact of literacy initiatives across the country.
- Through the Pizza Hut Foundation, led by Pizza Hut franchisees in partnership with Pizza Hut Corporate, we’re committed to supporting life and career readiness for restaurant team members and young adults across the country. The Foundation supports higher education through scholarships paired with a mentorship experience that connects recipients with Pizza Hut leaders. The Slice of Literacy Grant program awards up to $10,000 to eligible public libraries and nonprofit organizations working to advance literacy in their communities.
- Since 1992, the Pizza Hut Harvest Program has donated more than 100 million pounds of surplus prepared food to local charities feeding people in need. As the first national restaurant chain to launch a prepared food donation program, Pizza Hut has a 35-year history of ensuring that its delicious pizza, pasta, wings, and breadsticks go to feed those in need in the communities where their team members live and work. At the same time, by ensuring wholesome food does not end up in the landfill, Pizza Hut continues its commitment to sustainability and caring for the environment.
