The Manager/Sr Manager, Financial Planning is responsible for overseeing and performing analysis on financial results for the Latin America & Iberia Business Unit, aligning and coordinating functions to achieve company-wide financial goals and making recommendations based on actual and forecast information.


Organizations Supported: Pizza Hut LAI (Latin America & Iberia), 2500+ restaurants

This position will be based in Dallas, Texas. 15-20% travel

  • Lead and be responsible for the Annual Growth Plan and Quarterly Forecast processes. This includes coordinating with LAI functions, franchisees and PH Global in order to achieve annual growth and profit targets. Provide financial analysis, including variances vs forecast and previous year, identify trends and track potential risks and opportunities for the year. (20%)
  • Communicate, analyze and explain LAI's period results internally and to Pizza Hut Global Planning, providing variances against forecast and updating the forecast for the balance of the year. Prepare financial reviews for management at different levels (LAI and Global). Recommend plans of action to meet objectives and coordinate efforts to execute them. (15%)
  • Participate in LAI strategic initiatives by providing financial support, analysis, and recommendations. Present business cases to management team. Identify best business practices, gain global knowledge and share internally and with other business units. Develop tools to support build financial capability at franchisee level. (20%)
  • Identify and drive potential margin improvement initiatives in key markets to support franchisee margins. (15%)
  • Evaluate marketing promotions and price increase test markets, in accordance with a defined process and calendar. Coordinate discussions with multi-functional leaders and make recommendations and follow up on agreed times. (15%)
  • Oversee Financial Analyst on financial activities; build capability; align key deliverables, including proper delegation of duties and responsibilities in order to ensure timely and accurate performance against key deliverables. (15%)


The person in this position supervises the Financial Analyst, Financial Planning.


The person in this position also supports and/or interacts with other members of the Finance team as well as other functions within the LAI team (Managing Director, Operations, Marketing, Development, R&D/QA, Human Resources/Training, and SCM) as well as franchise counterparts at our two Master Franchisees or sub-franchisees and the Pizza Hut Global Planning team.


  • Must be fully vaccinated by January 3, 2022, subject to reasonable accommodation as required by law. Proof of vaccination required.
  • Bachelor degree required, with major in finance-related discipline. Post-graduate (MBA) qualification preferred.
  • 8 - 10 years of overall business experience, with at least three years in planning positions at manager level.
  • Solid understanding of the overall planning function.
  • Strong analytical skills a must, with great attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Excel; Hyperion experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and service attitude skills, with the ability to interface directly with all levels of management. Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation.
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to lead multiple projects, absorb ad hoc work into routine schedule and work under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity; likes to challenge status quo.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required. Portuguese fluency is a plus.
