Operations, BOOK IT! (Contractor)

Description:

Established in 1984, BOOK IT! is a reading incentive program for Pre-k through 6th grade classrooms. It encourages reading by providing certificates to classrooms and homeschool families for free personal pan pizzas in our stores across the US. BOOK IT! has 2 programs, the traditional which runs October through March for teachers and homeschool families and Camp BOOK IT! which runs from June through August for parents. This person will provide support to the BOOK IT! team by providing operational and customer service needs through phone, email, and social media.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide customer service to teachers and parents via phone calls, emails, and social media messages
  • Support customers through the teacher dashboard, enrollment, and other program questions
  • Ensure that all new teachers meet the BOOK IT! requirements
  • Process new school tasks through the BOOK IT! app
  • Assist in fraud prevention measures

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Up to date with technology and able to explain technology to others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Customer service skills in retail or call center a plus

*This role has the potential to convert to full-time in 2023.
