Director Franchise Finance

Description:

The Franchise Finance Director specializes in assessing the financial health of our franchise partners both existing and prospective. They are the expert identifying shifting trends in franchisee profitability by developing tools to compile, analyze, and effectively communicate insights to executive teams while also meeting Yum compliance standards.

  • Manage franchise collections process biannually in accordance with Yum requirements
  • Compile comprehensive annual review of franchisee system financial health
  • Lead risk-assessment and due diligence process on all prospective franchise partners
  • Product owner for franchise economics and operations dashboard (e.g. Tableau)
  • Develop strong working relationships with franchisees and their finance leaders
  • Work with internal counsel to structure and negotiate various incentive, consent, and development agreements
  • Responsible for the annual franchisee financial collection process and provide risk assessment to PH US leadership and to YUM franchising office.
  • Responsible for lenders day presentations
  • Support on exits of distressed franchisees
  • Oversee and approve any franchisee-to-franchisee transaction
    • Assess the financial wherewithal of the specific transaction
    • Provide specific financial requirements to be included in the consent agreement (leverage table)
    • Assess any other protections that would be required in the consent agreement

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA Preferred - Finance, Accounting or Economics

Experience:
  • 10+ years in financial analysis, specifically in the field of mergers & acquisitions, business valuation, financial modeling (NPV, IRR, DCF); retail finance or restaurant industry experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with data querying, aggregation (e.g. Snowflake, PyCharm, etc.) and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience in modeling business decisions, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with presenting to senior leadership teams
  • High motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and a desire to have a large impact on our organization

Must face complex business issues with persistence and stamina and be comfortable dealing with ambiguous business challenges
