The Associate Manager of Strategic Planning plays a central role in the organization's integrated planning and strategic communications process and provides critical analyses and data-driven insights to the Pizza Hut Leadership team. The Associate Manager will conduct quantitative analyses, competitive research, and stakeholder interviews to inform how we define strategy, make decisions, prioritize work, and assess performance. S/He will work with cross-functional partners and the Pizza Hut Global Leadership Team to define goals, establish KPIs, ensure sound execution of plan, and communicate progress with key stakeholders, including the Pizza Hut Regional Business Units, Yum! Leadership team, Yum! Board of Directors and the International Franchise Community. In addition, the Associate Manager will analyze data collected from our Regional Business Units, deliver insights on the performance and health of our restaurants and franchisees around the world, and identify and codify best practices to drive unit economics across the system. The Associate Manager of Strategic Planning has exceptional analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, demonstrates a strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has the ability to influence others even without direct authority.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • • Assist with the preparation and execution of key elements of the strategic planning process

  • • Support the development of materials that effectively communicate the strategy to key stakeholders (Regional Business Units, Yum! Board of Directors, Franchise Board, Yum! Leadership Team, etc.)

  • • Structure & execute data analysis to identify risk and opportunities and inform prioritization and planning

  • • Summarize insights and implications in presentations or other communications to leadership

  • • Collaborate and build credibility with business partners to gain support for analysis and recommendations

  • • Conduct primary and secondary research to provide organization with competitive intelligence

  • • Own or support strategic projects, requests and/ or analysis, as needed

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

The Associate Manager of Strategic Planning will interact with several cross-functional peers, in both our Headquarters and our Regional Business Units, including but not limited to the following; Development, Financial Planning, Marketing, Operations, Digital/e-Commerce, HR, and Legal. Additionally, this position enjoys significant exposure to senior leadership.

EDUCATION:

  • • Bachelor's Degree from a top tier university

  • • MBA and/or advanced degree a plus, but not required

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications)
  • :
    • 3+ years experience in Finance, Management Consulting, and/or Business Operations

  • • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong bias for fact-based decision-making and comfortable with ambiguity

  • • Excellent presentation, communication and analytical / problem-solving skills; strong business acumen required

  • • Proven track record of simultaneously and effectively managing multiple, complex projects

  • • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority, build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different functions and all levels required

  • • Self-starter with exceptional thought leadership and strong executive presence

  • • Willingness to travel as required

  • • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
