Sr. Manager, Global Restaurant Food Safety

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the US Restaurant Food Safety program offering global support.
- Oversee a Supply Food Safety category using restaurant expertise to drive farm to fork compliance.
- Establish a comprehensive 1-5 year roadmap for PH Global restaurant food safety that aligns with Yum FSQ goals, operational strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the US Sustainability Program to include the PH Good Growth Strategy.
- Lead the US Nutritional program, collaborating across functions to establish a streamlined Wellness strategy for Pizza Hut.
- Proactively manage MAHA/regulatory policy initiatives that may have implications for our ingredients and menu items.
- Lead the PH Nutritional/Allergen and School Lunch Programs.
- Serve as the global liaison for both restaurant and food safety with changes in global quality compliance
- Collaborate cross functionally with senior leaders, Global Operations, Global Supply Chain to align efforts and ensure the global restaurant food safety strategy is successful.
- Monitor and drive the food safety, quality, and supplier performance for assigned food categories. Connect with key partners to develop and promote positive business results through open communication and strong partnerships.
- Drive superior quality products by leading and providing daily support for the PH FSQ Product Evaluation program and continuing to enhance and develop the future strategy of this program.
- Utilize specification management, supplier audits, product evaluations and non-conformance monitoring to ensure compliance with all Pizza Hut standards and specifications. Partner with our Third-Party Restaurant Food Safety Audit Team to ensure standards are clear and applied correctly to drive continuous improvement with our supplier base.
- Work with product development suppliers, RSCS and Operations teams to onboard new suppliers and ingredients to support menu strategy.
- Support new product innovation, providing technical knowledge of supplier process capabilities and providing suggestions or alternatives that help move these projects forward for the business.
- Lead a team of 3 Food Safety Specialists.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge Base
- You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- 8+ years of experience in restaurant food safety is required; additional experience in supply chain food safety is a plus.
- 2+ years of team leadership experience, with an emphasis on mentorship, development, and fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Proven expertise in food safety and quality system auditing, including HACCP.
- Solid understanding of economic metrics relevant to facility operations and business performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory bodies and standards, including FDA, Food Code, and crisis management protocols.
- Expected Travel: 25%

Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Food Science (desirable), Biology, Food Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology or related field preferred.
Salary Range: $139,000 to $147,150 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
