Senior Manager, Strategic Planning

The Senior Manager of Strategic Planning will play a critical role in driving business growth and supporting long-term strategic initiatives. This individual will be responsible for leading the development of data-driven strategies, creating compelling business narratives, and delivering actionable insights to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to translate complex data into clear, impactful stories, while maintaining a pulse on competitive trends and business performance through robust KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning & Storytelling
    • Develop and articulate clear, cohesive business strategies that align with company goals.
    • Translate complex data and strategic insights into compelling narratives and presentations for executive leadership.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency of the company's strategic direction.
    • Drive stakeholder engagement by telling a cohesive business story that supports decision-making.
  2. Competitive Insights & Market Analysis
    • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, threats, and trends that could impact the business.
    • Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights to the leadership team.
    • Develop actionable recommendations based on competitive insights to strengthen the company's market positioning.
  3. KPI Reporting & Performance Management
    • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic business goals.
    • Lead the creation of dashboards and other tools to provide real-time visibility into business performance.
    • Analyze data to identify areas of strength, opportunity, and potential risk, presenting these insights in a clear, concise manner.
    • Work closely with finance, marketing, and operational teams to ensure strategic goals are reflected in KPIs and performance metrics.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with finance, marketing, product development, and operations teams to align strategic objectives and performance goals.
    • Support business units in the development of their strategic plans and ensure these align with overall company strategy.
    • Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions to gather insights from key stakeholders and drive collective strategic thinking.
  5. Leadership & Communication
    • Present strategic plans and performance updates to senior management and executive teams.
    • Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on strategic growth and data-driven decision-making.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, offering insights and recommendations to improve the company's competitive edge and performance.

Qualifications:
  • You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, competitive analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, draw insights, and tell a compelling business story.
  • Experience in competitive market research and trend analysis.
  • Proven experience developing and reporting on KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and strategic planning frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a strategy role within a dynamic industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and modeling.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.


Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
