The Manager of Strategy in Action is a key driver of our Pizza Hut's strategic initiatives and transformation agenda, ensuring that our long-term goals are translated into actionable plans and executed effectively. This role is responsible for helping to translate strategy into action. You will be responsible for developing operational processes, integrating these into our ways of working, and establishing and overseeing a "rhythm of the business" cadence that ensures consistent, aligned, well-communicated, and well-measured execution across the organization. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with senior executives to develop trust, inspire constructive conflict and drive accountability to help us efficiently deliver big results.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset and the project management chops to back it up, capable of managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to achieve business objectives.

Job Functions

Strategy Execution
  • Collaborate with the Global Leadership Team to define focused priority initiatives
  • Drive alignment to scope of initiatives and measurable outcomes
  • Define and manage robust processes, dashboards and deliverables to track progress, identify risks, and drive accountability for the successful execution of strategic and transformation projects
  • Proactively support Global Leadership Team members as they execute the plan for each initiative to overcome barriers, solve problems, re-allocate resources, and adjust as needed based on internal and external factors
  • Embed with teams as necessary to quarterback work and drive results

"Rhythm of the Business" Cadence, Process, and Accountability
  • Manage an integrated system of planning processes, leveraging existing or helping to stand up new planning processes (e.g., monthly performance updates, quarterly business reviews, annual planning sessions, etc)
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, breaking down silos, and promoting knowledge sharing across teams and business units.
  • Embed a mentality around continuous improvement: identify opportunities to refine and optimize processes for strategy execution. Implement best practices to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment across the organization

Communication & Measurement
  • Lead meetings and reviews to ensure that all teams are working towards the same objectives
  • Act as point person for communication around strategic initiatives and business cadence, ensuring that stakeholders at all levels are informed and engaged
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure the success of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and adjustments needed to stay aligned with overall business goals
  • Run analyses as needed to help support smart execution
  • Identify potential risks to the successful implementation of strategies and rhythm activities and develop mitigation plans to address these risks proactively

Knowledge and Skill Required
  • Bachelor's Degree (MBA is a plus, PMP certification is a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in business strategy, consulting, program management or finance
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong competency in data analysis and performance measurement tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Experience with change management and driving cultural shifts within an organization
  • Thrive in ambiguity and love of problem solving
  • Curious with a hunger for knowledge and a drive to track down answers
  • Good at building trust: you are inherently trustworthy and follow-up on what you say you will do; you possess a high level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
