BOOK IT!® Program
BOOK IT!® Program
In 1984, Pizza Hut started the BOOK IT! Program, the nation’s first corporate-supported and longest running reading motivation program. To-date the program has inspired 1-in-5 Americans to read! But we didn’t stop there. In 2016, Pizza Hut expanded its focus on literacy when it launched Pizza Hut: The Literacy Project, a 10-year commitment to transform the lives of 100 million people by enabling access to books and educational resources, empowering teachers, and inspiring readers.
When disaster strikes, Pizza Hut rises to the occasion. Whether it’s volunteering for cleanup, donating food, or raising funds, Pizza Hut helps local communities in times of need.
Pizza Hut and its franchise partners are proud to be part of the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative which is the largest employer-led coalition focused on employing opportunity youth—young people facing systemic barriers to employment and education.
Pizza Hut Corporate recently hosted a group of young women from high school and college through GenHERation’s Discovery Days. Discovery Days connects future leaders with groundbreaking companies with the goal to help close the gender leadership gap in business.
