Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Associate Manager of Social Marketing will be responsible for guiding the digital team as it strikes up conversations and forms bonds with the Pizza Hut fan base. Using a tool kit of new and emerging social media platforms, this person must find ways to support Pizza Hut’s national marketing calendar, as well as discover new, innovative ways to drive traffic to pizzahut.com. Additionally this person will be in charge of discovering and evaluating potential digital partnerships to build brand advocates and drive sales.

Must be a professional multitasker, serving as a key partner in crime to media and Public Relations. The candidate should deliver success through building, driving and collaborating with all Pizza Hut teams to achieve what everyone wants—results.


This person must be on top of all things social, including industry trends and cutting-edge opportunities. Must be affluent in discovering new ways to make Pizza Hut the undisputed leader within the social space.



Key Responsibilities:

Create communication plans for all windows (national and test) to align with digital strategy.

Clearly communicate all social advertising plans to Digital Director and ensure all assets launch flawlessly.

Partner with franchisees to educate around social media, looking for ways to continually improve relationships.

In partnership with Director, Digital, manage agencies on all creative development and provide strong guidance and feedback.

Own implementation of social conversation strategy across Facebook, Twitter and other new social platforms, finding key ways to improve fan engagement and interaction.

Manage social conversation calendar and look for ways to optimize creative running in paid social media.

Work with other digital, advertising & PR leads to create integrated work and strong added value campaigns.

Look for the latest innovation and opportunities in social marketing and recommend key ways to drive the business.

Experience in evaluating new and emerging technologies and platforms (social, mobile, eCommerce, etc)

Tie all projects back to analytics and provide postmortems to determine success of social campaigns.

Identify key strategic partners and potential partnerships to build brand affinity & drive sales.

Manage budget process and work to gain efficiencies with team in order to reduce budgets on standard projects.



Background:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; master’s degree preferred.

5+ years in digital marketing, social marketing or related marketing field.

Proven track record for managing teams and driving complex projects.

Skills and Abilities:

Master of all things social media.

Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams.

Expert problem solver adept at finding better ways to develop and manage processes.

Dynamic and results-oriented, with a positive attitude and leader mentality.

Innovator with the drive and persistence to take Pizza Hut digital conversation to the next level.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Ability to manage large operating budgets.
